BC Dry Powder is a siliconized sodium bicarbonate based dry chemical that is suitable to use on either Class B and C type fires. The application is designed for use against flammable liquid and gas fires. It is available in different grades like : BC -10, BC – 30, BC – 40, BC – 60, BC -80 and BC- 90.
The letters stand for the class of fire the extinguisher can be used against:
Class B Fire: extinguish fires involving flammable liquids, solvents, oil, gasoline, paints, lacquers, and other oil-based products.
Class C Fire: extinguish fires involving flammable gases like LPG and other gases

And suitable of Class A Fire: Wood, Textiles, Paper, Clothes, Cotton mill, Jute Mill etc., Class B Fire: Petroleum, Oil, Paint, Varnish, Solvent, Aviation Fuel, Flammable and Volatile Liquids etc., Class C Fire: Flammable Gases, Industrial Gases etc. As Well As Electrical Fires
ABC Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher is a ”Monoammonium phosphate” based fire extinguisher, used on class A, class B, and class C fires. It uses a specially fluidized and siliconized monoammonium phosphate powder. ABC dry chemical is usually a mix of monoammonium phosphate and ammonium sulfate, the former being the active one. The mix between the two agents is usually 30–70%, 50-50%, or 90-10% depending on standards.
